October 16, 2017: Election Day
A person is eligible to vote in Hanna's election if the person is:
- 18 years of age;
- A Canadian Citizen;
- Has resided in Alberta for 6 months immediately preceding Election Day; and
- The person's place of residence is located in Hanna on Election Day.
Electors will be required to produce government issued identification containing the elector's photograph, current address and name (Driver's License or an Alberta Identification Card). If an elector is unable to produce government issued identification, two pieces of identification will be acceptable. The Alberta Municipal Affairs Elections website contains a list of the acceptable identification.
After the election, the Mayor and Council will have a busy agenda with orientation, an organizational meeting, facility tours, training and the creation of the 2018 municipal budget.
