Be A Snow Angel

Old man winter seems to come around every year and we all like to be prepared.  Shovels are coming out in place of ragesk snow blowers over lawn mowers and parkas instead of light jackets. But, what if you are a resident who has difficulty shovelling their show due to physical and financial limitations?

Keep a look out for the neighbour that can't remove their snow, those who are mobility restricted and would be considered "Shut-in".  If you are able, consider making it your business to see their sidewalks and/or driveways cleared.  You will be seeing to their personal safety and others, besides putting a smile on their faces and sense of relief.  The Town of Hanna FCSS always welcomes volunteers to call in and leave their contact information for the individuals the office receives calls from, requesting assistance.  This is a volunteer service and will be provided depending upon the availability of volunteers and their time. There is no charge for this service, nor expectation of payment for the service.  Know that the warm feeling you will have as a result will not be just from your physical exertion, but the good deed you have done!
