Located between the outdoor pool and Centennial Place, the Skateboard Park offers a variety of equipment for skateboard and biking enthusiasts.
In early 2002, a skateboard park was identified as a need by a group of young people interested in the sport. Their parents and other community leaders brought a proposal to the Town , asking for a piece of property suitable to place a skateboard park. The Town provided an area with an asphalt surface in the Recreation Block on 3rd Street and 5th Avenue West. In 2003 the Hanna Community Initiatives Association provided $41,100 to purchase and install equipment. Since then, equipment has changed, the children have changed but the skateboard park remains an active meeting place for skateboarders and cyclists in the community.
