The Hanna Municipal Library is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The library has extended hours on Thursday evenings (till 8:00 pm) and are open on Saturdays from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm.  There is a drop box outside the entrance for your convenience in returning books.

As a member of the Marigold Library System the Hanna Municipal Library is a member of TRAC (The Regional Automation Consortium) and TAL (The Alberta Library). Membership in Marigold allows cardholders to use most libraries across the province.

Marigold is a collaborative of 42 municipalities in south-central Alberta providing progressive library services for 259,705 residents. Headquarters is located in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada.

Marigold has 36 member libraries and also maintains 14 paperback deposits located in small communities. Residents do not require a library card to borrow from a deposit collection, which includes best sellers. Gently used books may be donated by community members. The deposits work on an honour system.

Valentines for Veterans
Nov. 7th  (Ages 0-17)

We invite families to join us at the library to make Valentines for Veterans. This is a Canadian Program for individuals to make and send valentines to Veterans living in long term care across Canada. Lets celebrate our Veterans this Remembrance day by preparing a note of kindness that will be delivered in February. Partnership with GPPLC

Fortnite Party!
Nov. 14th
4:30 pm-5:30 pm
Come to the library for a dance party featuring Fortnite dance moves and help us build sheet forts around the library!

Silent Dinner
Nov. 28th
4:30 pm-5:30 pm (Ages 0-17)
The Hanna Library and GPPLC invite you to the library for dinner, but there is a catch, you can't make a sound. You be told jokes and have funny faces made at you, but you can't laugh. Can you pass the Silent Dinner test?
Preregistration is required, 16 plates available.
Please let us know when registering if there are any allergies we should be aware of.

Movie and Craft Night

The Hanna Library and GPPLC invite you to share in our Christmas joy! We will be showing a Christmas theme movie (TBA) and crafts.

Christmas Recipe in a Jar

Hanna Library and GPPLC invite you to the library to make a special Christmas treat! We will have all the ingredients to make Christmas Cookie recipes in a jar and Reindeer Food for Santa’s crew!
