Each year, in July, thousands of country classic dance music fans travel to Hanna to attend the Yesteryear Old Time Music Jamboree. Those who love the old music from the 1920's and 1930's and classic country get a chance to dance the 3 day weekend away! There are usually around 10 live bands hailing from all over Alberta and some from Minnesota and Wyoming. Fans however are not only from those areas but also Arizona, Montana, British Columbia & Saskatchewan. The music isn't played on the radio anymore so this event brings nostalgia for those who grew up in the 30's, 40's and 50's.
The venue provides room for dancing and a large stage so while one band plays, another can set up, creating non-stop performances. The Town of Hanna also permits Jamboree attendees to park on the grounds for the weekend.
