Craigmyle Named

The Village of Craigmyle was built on Wm. Nixon's land and named after Mrs. Eaton's ancestral estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

The first homesteader to winter in Craigmyle was the late Ed. Brothers in 1908. Many filed in that year, but it was in 1909 when the homesteaders came thick and fast: Harry Stevenson, Ted Read, Ed.
